It is obtained from the distillation of fermented pomace of fine grapes, ripened on the slopes of Etna under the warm Sicilian sun.
The grape varieties used to produce the prized Etna Grappa are: Nerello Mascalese, Cataratto and Nerello Cappuccio.
Nerello Cappuccio, with its good tasting structure and pleasantly fruity aroma, grows mainly in the provinces of Catania and Messina.
Cataratto, an ancient Sicilian grape variety, has a good aromatic profile with light fruity hints and floral notes and a taste that tends towards soft.
Nerello Mascalese, with its excellent aromatic profile and its elegance and personality, contributes to giving organicity to the whole, managing to create a highly prized distillate, with a smooth and harmonious flavour.
