Mandarin, the typical fruit of Sicily, renowned throughout the world for its intense aroma and sweet flavor, is the essential ingredient of this exquisite liqueur.
The mandarins are peeled by hand to preserve the aromas and fragrances that the peel is so rich in.
The peels are infused in pure alcohol for a few days. Once the infusion is ready, it is filtered and finished with water and sugar to obtain a 30% alcohol-based solution.
The liqueur has a red-orange color; on the nose it presents a very penetrating mandarin aroma; on the palate it is full-bodied, mellow with an intense mandarin flavor.
Served chilled in small, chilled glasses, it's an excellent digestif; it enhances fruit salads and is an essential ingredient in cocktails and other elegant drinks.
