The Matrangela is an ancestral symbol of a female figure that is directly linked to the cult of the Great Mother.

A cult that survived for centuries in Sicily, and handed down to Santo Stefano di Camastra, in ceramic production, up to the present day.

The anthropomorphic and winged statuette, formerly called "pupa cu l'ali" (doll with wings), was later renamed Matrangela.

Measurements: Height 25cm, Width 17cm (approx).
